Amanda's love for dancing began at the tender age of 3yrs old with physical culture. At the age of 6 she commenced her classical training
under the guidance of Jennifer Ham and became one of her first students when she founded, Ballet Academy Northside in Sydney. There, Amanda
studied RAD Classical Ballet, Character Dance and Contemporary Dance. Rita Dubovsky played a pivotal role in her love for Character Dance,
as Amanda mastered traditional dances such as Russian, Ukraine and Moldavian under her tutelage. Her final years of study were under
the guidance of Tanya Pearson OAM at the prestigious Tanya Pearson Classical Coaching Academy in Sydney. Amanda has also been trained
by highly regarded teachers including Kim Trainer, Julie Wells and Leslie Abraham.
Amanda was awarded many places over the years in both Classical Ballet and Contemporary at various Eisteddfods including at the prestigious
City of Sydney Eisteddfod. In 1998 Amanda was awarded her RAD ADVANCED exam. Amanda was a finalist in the Australian Ballet School auditions.

Following a short illness Amanda reassessed her goals and decided to persue other avenues.
Amanda's thirst for knowledge extended beyond the dance studio and she went on to complete a Bachelor of Science at Macquarie University
with a focus on Human Anatomy and Physiology.
This knowledge proved invaluable as she transitioned into dance teaching, allowing her to explain the "how" and "why" behind the movements
to her students. Her focus is to guide her students with a deeper understanding of their bodies and the ability to implement that knowledge
in the movements they are learning and the dances they are performing.
Amanda taught Contemporary, stretch and Classical ballet classes at Ballet Academy Northside (BAN) on Sydney's northern beaches for several
years. During her time at BAN she choreographed both troupes and solo Contemporary pieces for Eisteddfods and concerts. With a senior
contemporary piece awarded highly commended at the prestigious City of Sydney Eisteddfod.
Her passion for dance education continued at Ryde Secondary College, where she taught dance. Her contemporary-based pieces were selected for
the NSW public schools' Sydney North Dance Festival.
Upon completion of her degree and along with her teaching, Amanda forged a career in the Financial planning industry where she worked for 10
years. After a move to Perth for work she and her husband then moved to the Central Coast of NSW where they began their family. Amanda now
has 4 children. After returning to NSW, Amanda continued her love for dancing and returned to physical culture competing in both team
competitions and at an individual level attaining national final level. She continues to actively participate in physical culture
competitions and was awarded zone champion 2024 and attained the national final.

dance in children as young as 3, guiding them from their first steps to more advanced techniques. Her students were awarded places at
Interclub competitions and reached the esteemed National Finals.
