An annual non-refundable registration fee of $40 per student, for a family with two or more students $60.

This is paid to cover student insurance, and intellectual property fees for music. It is a one off fee per year.

On your first week you may come in and watch your child partake in classes of your choice to help settle your child into class/classes.

After this it is best not to watch as it can be distracting to your child and the class. We do have a large waiting area right next to our studio that you are welcome to use. We also have TV monitors where you can view the whole class area.

There are special tactics we use to help ease your child into class to ensure maximum fun and enjoyment so please don’t worry if it takes a few classes for them to settle in.

It is very normal for little ones to be upset and clingy on their first couple of lessons, this is perfectly normal.

We are here to help your child feel comfortable.

You sure can, you are more than welcome to make up the class during this week on another day.

Please notify the office so we can suggest the best class for your child to attend.

These missed classes can be made up in terms one, two and three. By term four classes are working on their end of year concert routine, so it’s a little confusing for students to come in during this period of the year.

Yes, you may. Our classes are designed so that you can drop in and begin whenever you’d like. Just register online or in the studio and you are all set to go. No matter what time of the year it is, we will always make you and your child feel comfortable in our classes and studio.

For your first couple of weeks, please wear something comfortable to dance in.

You can purchase some dance shoes through our studio shop.

You are required to wear a uniform but while you are waiting for your uniform to come in, please wear black dance attire.

All hair should be pulled back off the face in a bun.

Adult students can wear any dance/ fitness attire that is comfortable to them.

You are more than welcome to pay for classes fortnightly or by the term.  The term is 10 weeks the same as a school term. 

Sure, I suggest this be done with in the two months of joining the studio, so when the student switches class, she/he will not be too far behind.

There are no refunds on classes that have been attended or up to the end of your fortnightly payment. 

The studio has a passion for helping the older students feel comfortable and capable in dance.

Often school teachers recommend further lessons to help support dance studies if taken as an elective in high school. At Simone’s School of Performing Arts, we are experienced in making your older student feel comfortable with the transition.

We encourage students to participate in more than one class per week.

We believe that dance is the best way to help children in their confidence, social skills and academic learning.

Every student has the opportunity to partake in our end of year concert showcase. This is an amazing way for children of all ages to experience the joy of performing in front of a live audience. It also brings a huge amount of self-confidence to every child that is involved in this performance.

The showcase is NOT compulsory, however we do highly recommend every student to experience this opportunity. Every student is still treated the same whether they are doing the end of year concert or not.

It’s a great way to reward students for their hard work all year.

Costumes play an enormous part of portraying themes and give the students a taste of the magical world of stage.

Students are required to purchase or hire one costume per concert class.

We have a costume levy for all our showcase costumes, which is paid off throughout the year – this acts like a lay-by system.

Costume levies are paid at the same time as your normal dance fees in terms one, two and three, in fortnightly or term payments. 

Costume levy does not apply to stretch/tech/circus/adult or performance classes.

You are more than welcome to bring your dancer in anything they feel comfortable and runners are most suitable, once they are all settled you can purchase a uniform from our studio shop. Please also bring a water bottle with their name on it.
